E-File (Electronic Filing)

With electronic filing, your tax return is filed directly to the IRS and your state's Department of Revenue.

Refunds from e-file taxes are usually mailed within 15 to 22 days of IRS acceptance of your federal tax return (this does not include the time it will take for mail delivery). Refunds that are designated for direct deposit are usually sent to your bank within 8 to 15 days after filing taxes.
